The Norfolk & Suffolk Broads is a unique world famous wetland that has over 120 miles of navigable rivers and lakes.
This area of unspoilt natural beauty with its vast skies can offer the very best in leisurely and relaxing holidays.
There are large broads, pretty rural villages, sandy beaches and beautiful countryside ready for you to explore.
The Broads also offers a wide variety of activities to complement your sailing: cycling (bring your own and tow
them in one of our dinghies), fishing, walking, canoeing or walking even from your yacht to the sea to the beautiful
unspoilt beach at Horsey! The fine city of Norwich (the most complete medieval city in Britain),
historic market towns and the busy coastal resorts of Cromer, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft are
also within reach of Hunter’s Yard.
Time has no significance while you’re enjoying the tranquillity of the Broads; the essence of these
marshlands and waterways are much as they have been for hundreds of years and today, it is a protected area,
with over 20 wildlife and nature reserves. The whole area teems with wildlife – in the water, on the banks and
on the marshes. Herons, kingfishers, otters and marsh harriers, to name but a few, are seen regularly and you
may even hear the bittern’s boom or glimpse the exquisite swallowtail butterfly.
Those of us who live here still feel it’s a privilege to share this world.
It’s not surprising that Norfolk has been a prime holiday destination for well over a century! Sail back in time
to a slower world with welcoming inns; experience excitement or stillness and serenity second to none on yachts
that are truly ‘right’ for this world.
