History of Hunters Fleet Norfolk UK.

Youth Sailing

A main aim of the Trust is to encourage young people to sail on the Hunter Fleet. Why? Understanding the effects of wind, tide and current are just the beginning - our boats do not have engines therefore learning to work with the elements is a fundamental part of 'getting the best out of the boat'. There are a whole lot more 'Lifelong Learning' experiences to be gained from this unique opportunity - e.g. Increased self-confidence, taking responsibility for self and others, problem solving in a team situation, evaluating results - the list goes on. It's a whole new world for many of them - the boats do not have electricity, need we say more!

So many times we talk to someone who "Sailed here when I was at school and I've never forgotten". Do you know a group who would like to take up this very special opportunity to sail on a unique Fleet within the safety of an inlands waterway system in a beautiful part of Britain. Prices shown are discounted by 40% for youth groups. Please call 01692 678263 or e-mail for more information.
