History of Hunters Fleet Norfolk UK.

Welcome to Hunter's Yard and The Hunter Fleet

Hunter's Yard, located in its secluded private dyke in the heart of Norfolk's world famous inland waterway system, has been home to the superb Hunter Fleet since 1931.

Providing a unique opportunity to sail on beautifully maintained traditional mahogany cabin yachts - no engines, no electricity, just oil lamps and superb sailing ability! World famous and frequently featured on TV (Lullaby was 'Teasel' in BBC's production of Swallows & Amazons Forever), specialised sailing publications and the general press.

Maintained by a staff with over a hundred years of experience of looking after these boats! Owned by a charitable trust established to preserve the Fleet. Actively supported by a 'Friends' organisation with a membership of over 740 people established to help support the Yard and its Fleet of hand built cabin yachts and wooden half deckers. Much cherished, much admired, much loved! Come and sail on the Fleet that makes sure all you have to listen to is the wind, the water and the wild birds whilst you relive the peace of a bygone age.
